Expanders Introduces New Eco-Friendly Insulation
Having a warm, well-insulated house is crucial, but have you ever thought about what you put into your walls? Fibre glass, one of the most commonly used types of insulation, is cheap and easy to install, but has a high CO2 cost due to its extensive manufacturing process.
Expanders is proud to offer UltraTouch, a natural cotton fiber insulation that is safe for both your home and our environment. Natural fibers and a patented manufacturing process ensures maximum thermal performance, sound absorption and no risk of skin irritation, as opposed to the fibreglass, which can cause airborne debris.
The new material also controls sound and noise transmissions through walls, ceilings and floors. It's mold resistant, and only made with 100% postindustrial, high quality fiber. Installation is possible for both wood and metal framing cavities, and between furring channels by using a simple friction kit.
